Governance
Over its lifetime, IAEAPE has developed a flexible governing process. The Executive Board meets once a month by way of a conference call. Also by conference calls, committees carry on their work, though their meetings may less regularly scheduled. Each of the major standing committees has an officer who is its designated liaison to the Board.
Voting for officers is done via this website as needed. Voting on changes to the bylaws is done during the Annual General Meeting. Often, the Annual General Meeting, sometimes referred to as the Business meeting, is scheduled during the Annual Conference. When needed, Commitees and the Board ask the membership for guidance, preference and opinions by polling the listserv.

The Executive Board
The administrative business of the association is run by four elected officers: President, President-Elect, Treasurer and Secretary. Each individual serves for two years. Although the member who is President serves in that office for one year, she or he has been President-Elect in the preceding year. In order to provide continuity, the officers' terms are staggered: two new people are elected each year and two people carry on with their terms.
Every year two new people are elected to the Board. The elections are conducted over the IAEAPE website through the Members Only page.
