Scholarship Application

Once again, we are happy to be able to offer scholarships for attendance at our annual conference.

The 2024 IAEAPE Annual Conference will take place in Indiana, Indianapolis. We will accept requests for registration, travel, lodging, or any combination thereof.

In order to be eligible, participants must:

  1. Be an active member of IAEAPE

  2. Be working in an employee (or faculty and staff) assistance program in education

  3. Be employed by an institution that does not provide adequate funds for professional meeting attendance.  If you have any questions, please contact a member of the scholarship committee. 

How to Apply

You can download the 2024 Scholarship Application and send it to Jocelyn Lang, Scholarship Committee Chair via email at jocelyn.m.lang@emory.edu. Please follow-up with Jocelyn if you do not receive a return email confirming your submission. The deadline for submission of all applications is August 15, 2024. We hope to hear from as many of you as possible. To that end, we will do all we can so that expenses are not an obstacle for any IAEAPE member who is currently working within an FS/EAP in education. In the event the pool of applicant financial need exceeds available IAEAPE scholarship funding, preference will be given to those applicants who have not previously attended an IAEAPE conference, as well as, to those who have not previously received scholarship awards.  This measure aims to lessen the barriers for newcomers and those who are returning but have not previously received a scholarship award.

The names of all scholarship applicants will remain confidential and only those on the Scholarship Committee will be aware of the identity of applicants/recipients. The Scholarship Committee will recommend scholarship award distributions. As designated representative of the IAEAPE Board to the Scholarship Committee, the IAEAPE Treasurer, will then convey the awards recommendations to the IAEAPE Board. After the Board approves the recommendations, all applicants will be notified of the outcomes. We would like to be able to notify scholarship recipients as soon as possible after the deadline date of August 15, 2024.
